Cavtat is a great spot for those enjoying the long walks by the sea and prefer free movement in nature.
Along the shore there is the main Cavtat walk about 8 km long. It takes a place from the south beach of the Croatia Hotel all around untouched Sustjepan Peninsula, passing the famous Cavtat Promenade and Rat Peninsula. Further following the one way street by the sea at the sleepy Tiha Bay and beautiful Žal you will end this lovely walk at the Epidaurus Hotel. You will enjoy in almost 2 hours of pure Mediterranean nature.
Except this easy walk there are several hiking paths along you can explore the countryside of Konavle region, full of interesting villages, hidden beaches and other excitements.


Footway Cavtat-Močići-Čilipi-Radovčići


This educational footway passes the most beautiful Konavle down side villages. The start point is at Cavtat district named Mećajac, near the old church of St. George. Further you just have to follow the signs that will lead you along the shore, on some parts through the villages and some other along the huge cliffs of Konavle. On this path you can take a stop at Močići village to see a sanctuary of ancient Perisan God Mithras, or at Čilipi village where you can see  Ethnographic collection and folklore performances on Sundays. In Čilipi you can find few caffe bars and a pizzeria. It takes about 2 hours walking from Cavtat to Čilipi.
From there you can keep on walking to Popovići village with offer of horse back riding or further more to Radovčići. Along this path you can take bath on some of the rocky beaches, known only to locals or the spectacular sandy beach Pasjača. This is the unique opportunity to experience the beauty of freedom, to see the cliffs typical for Dalmatian coast so near and some interesting animals or endemic herbal sorts, to catch the beautiful views over the open sea.

The Ronald Brown Pathway

The Pathway that leads to the bear peak of the mountain Stražišće, offers the marvelous views over the Konavle valley, Cavtat, Župa Bay and open sea with islands.
This pathway got the name after the American Minister of trade Ronald Brown, who died 1996 in the plane crush on the mission to Croatia with his delegation. The starting point is at the slope Gornji Obod above Epidaurus Hotel, we recommend to ask the locals. This adventure will take around 2 hours of easy walk. After an hour and a half you can take a coffee or lunch at Velji do in a local restaurant. You will recognize the last point of this path with easy - the cross at Stražišće peak, commemorating the death of the American trade delegation. During this interesting hike you will have an opportunity to meet birds, lizards and same endemic plants while enjoying the most beautiful views in the region.
